1919 graduated Kharkov Veterinary Institute.

Career

Published over 60 works on infectious diseases. 1932 determined infectious anemia among horses in USSR. Cultured glanders bacillus on a synthetic non-protein medium of simple composition.

Bureau member. Veterinary Section, Lenin AllUnion Academy, of Agriculture Science. During Civil War veterinary surgeon in Red Army. Since 1923 at Central Microbiological Station, later renamed Moscow Veterinary Research Institute.

1930 — 39 Head, above Institute. 1939-1948 Head, Chair of Microbiology, Red Army Military Veterinary Academy.
