Yasukata Oku was a Japanese soldier and retainer of the Kokura Clan (Fukuoka Prefecture).
Yasukata Oku was born in 1846. He was the oldest son of Riemon.
Yasukata Oku joined the Imperial Army (1871) and became a full general (1902) and a field marshal (1911). He was made a Baron for his exploits in the Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895) and a Count (1907) for his services as commander of the Second Army in the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905).
