As governor of various provinces, he distinguished himself as a good and able administrator. (At his time, there were many corrupt and greedy local officials). WhenprisonersinDewaProvince(Yama- gata Prefecture) rose in revolt Yasunori was appointed Lord of Dewa and brought the revolt under control. He also suppressed corruption in the local government and ruled the province with benevolence.
