Yasuori Wakisaka was born March 30, 1809 in Japan.
Succeeded his father as Lord of Tatsuno Clan in Harima Province (Hyogo Prefecture) with the title of Awaji-no-Kami (Governor of Awaj Province) in 1841. Yasuori Wakisaka was appointed Governor-General of Kyoto in 1851. When the Imperial Palace in Kyoto was gutted in a fire, he rebuilt it on a much larger scale in 1854. He was promoted to minister to the Shogunate and placed in charge of foreign affairs in 1857. Resigned from office in 1860.
