Bachelor of Science, National Taiwan University, Taipei, 1976. Master of Science, National Taiwan University, Taipei, 1980. Doctor of Philosophy, Cornell University, 1984.

Career

Associate professor National Taiwan University, Taipei, 1980-1984, professor civil engineering, since 1988, chairman department, 1995-1998, dean College Engineering, since 1999. Head National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering, 1990-1995.

Member American Society of Civil Engineers, Association Kinmen Scholars (president 1993-1995), Chinese Society Structural Engineers (president since 1998), International Association of Shell and Spatial Structures, Sigma Xi.
