Yeong-Kuang Ger, Chinese political scientist, not-for-profit developer, educator. Named one of Ten Outstanding Young Persons, 1993; recipient Research award, National Science Commission, Lien Cheng-Tong award, 2005, Doctor Sun Yat-sen Academy award, 2005; Doctor Sun Yat-sen scholar, Chinese Nationalist Party.


Ger, Yeong-Kuang was born on November 27, 1954 in I-Lan County, Taiwan.


Bachelor in Political science, National Taiwan University, 1978. Doctor of Philosophy, University Wisconsin, 1985.


Professor department political science National Taiwan University, Taipei, since 1985. Secretary general World League for Freedom and Democracy, since 2004. Visiting professor E. Asian Institute Columbia University, New York City, 1988.
