Order of Lenin, 1944; two Order of Red Banner of Labor, 1940, 1949; medals. Member, Communist Party, since 1948.

Background

TIKOTSKY, Yevgeniy was born in 1893 in St. Petersburg.

Education

1914 graduated piano and composition class, Bonch-Bruevich School of Music, Petrograd.

Career

Fought in World War I and in Civil War. Since 1924 composer; since 1944 instructor at 10-year music school. Deputy, Belarusian Supreme Soviet of 1955 and 1959 convocation.

1959 elected member, Belarusian Supreme Soviet Commission for National Education and Culture.
