Background

Yevgeny Yakovlevich Poshivalov was born on March 2, 1937 in Liski, Voronezh Region, Russian Federation.

Education

Yevgeny Yakovlevich graduated from the Department of Architecture and Finishing works of Voronezh Construction Technical School (1955), and the Department of Design of printed materials of Moscow Polygraphic Institute (now Moscow State University of Printing Arts) (1966).

Career

Yevgeny Yakovlevich Poshivalov started participating in regional, zonal, republican/national, all-Russian, all-union, foreign exhibitions in 1966. He illustrated books for the Publishing House of Central Chernozem region (1966-1990). His works primarily were made in the technique of color etching: "The city of A. Koltsov and I. Nikitin" (1984); since the beginning of the 1980s, he continues the series "Voronezh", "Landscapes of native land".

Achievements

Poshivalov’s solo exhibitions were held at the Dmitry Venevitinov's Museum (1993, Voronezh region), and in the Union of Artists exhibition hall (1997, 2007). His works are represented in the Kramskoy Regional Museum of Fine Arts in Voronezh and in the House-museum of D.V. Venevitinov.
