Gojo Yoriharu was pledged by his grandfather to serve Emperor Gokameyama and was for a while castellan of Yabe and Takaya castles in Chikugo Province (Fukuoka Prefecture). Later in 1390, he built the Kumano Shrine in Chikugo, after which history lost touch with him.
For his courage and loyalty to the Yoshino Dynasty Gojo Yoriharu was granted a manor in Kawakita-sho, Chikuzen.
