Yorikane Toki was born in Gifu, Japan. He was the son of Yorisada.
When Emperor Godaigo planned to destroy the Kamakura Shogunate (1324), he was among the warriors who plotted to attack the Shogunate office at Rokuhara in Kyoto during a festival of the Kitano Shrine. The plot was exposed through the betrayal of Yoriharu Funaki. The plotters' quarters were besieged by Shogunate troops. Yorikane committed suicide after resisting them.
