Graduated from Architecture Department of Tokyo Kogakuin (Tokyo Engineering Institute) in 1909.
Entered Building Office of Kingo Tatsuno, where he studied design in architecture. Later served as superintendent in construction of Dai-ichi Sogo-kan (Dai-ichi Mutual Insurance Company Building) and with the completion of that structure was appointed a chief of Repairing Section of Dai-ichi Seimei Kaisha (Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company in 1921. He toured Europe and America to inspect various building facilities in 1922.
Then served as a supervisor in the construction of Dai-ichi Seimei-kan (Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company Hall) From 1932 till 1938. Was officially registered as the first-class architect in 1951.
Became director in 1947 and then representative director of Nihon Kensetsu Kaisha (Japan Construction Company) and thereafter assumed his present post.
