Yoshiaki Haruki was born in 1846.
He participated in the proimperialist uprising of the Tenchugumi or Divine Punishment Association, a group of Loyalist samurai, led by his Lord, Mitsuhira Tomobayashi (1863) . After the Meiji Restoration (1868), he served as a local magistrate in Yamato. Became ail official of the Justice Ministry (1873). Was well-known as a public procurator. Appointed procurator-general (1892) and then president of the Tokyo Court of Appeal.
Was nominated a member of the House of Peers (1904).
