Yoshio Suzuki was born in 1894 in Fukushima, Japan.
He graduated from Law Department, Tokyo University in 1919.
An expert on social welfare legislation, he was professor at Tohoku University, Tokyo Women's College, Hosei and Senshii universities. A member of the Socialist Party, he was elected to the House of Representatives three times after the war's end. He was once Attorney General.
His books include "Basic Problems of Law and Philosophy" and "Social Legislation".
