Li Yung-fang received Bachelor of Arts degree in 1911 and Master of Arts in 1913 from Peking University. Then he went to U.S.A. for advanced education and studied in the University of Chicago in 1914-1917, summer quarters.
Mr. Li went to England to enter King's College in London University, London, in the winter of 1928.
When Li Yung-fang returned to China, he was appointed associate professor of Old Testament in Yenching University from 1921 to 1928, than he was promoted to be the Dean of the School of Religion at the same University in 1926-1928.
Mr. Li was a professor in the Department of Biblical Literature and concurrently Head of the Department of Church Administration and Worship School of Religion, Yenching University, since 1929.
