His father, Yuli Shevchuk (1924-2013) was born in the Ukraine. He was a participant of the Great Patriotic War. Since 1980 he lived in Ufa and held leading positions.
His mother, Faniya Gareeva was born in 1925. After the Great Patriotic War she got a special award. Today she lives in Saint Petersburg together with his son.
