Yuriy Nikolayevich Godin was born on May 23, 1912.

Career

He specialized in geophysical survey methods and regional geology. In 1930 he began practical work on prospecting geophysics and geological.1939-1943 in charge of geophysical survey teams. He has done prospecting and research work in various regions of the USSR. He developed new systems of tectonic zoning of Turkmenistan and western regions of Central Asia. He also directed comprehensive seismologic and geophysical exploration of Central Asia by regions and regional seismographic exploration of Volga-Ural oil districts and other areas of the USSR. He wrote over 50 works.
