Career
Takeyama entered the Agriculture and Commerce Department, specializing in the study of rice growth for 23 years. After the war, he became director of Zenno (Agricultural Federation and was elected to the Diet six times from Shizuoka. Yutaro also served as Minister of the Department of Construction of the first Hatoyama Cabinet.
