Zhana Yaneva (22, from Blagoevgrad) was crowned Mission Universe Bulgaria 2012 during a new competition held at the Big Apple club in Sin City, Sofia, on September 29. Standing 178 cm in height, Vaneva represented Bulgaria in the 2012 Mission Universe pageant held on December 19, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America. This marks the return of Bulgaria to the international competition after a 2-year absence. Their last participation took place in 2009.
She represented Bulgaria in Mission Universe 2012.
She has previous experience in pageants prior to becoming Mission Universe Bulgaria, including as "Mission Blagoevgrad 2008", first runner-up at "Mission Sofia Autumn 2010", and winning "Mission Marilyn Blagoevgrad 2010".
