Graduated from the Moscow Literary Institute, 1954.
In 1971, became involved in religious rights campaigns, distributing samizdat religious literature. Fired from her job at the Moscow Sociological Research Institute. Editor of the religious samizdat magazine Nadezhda.
Arrested in August 1982, accused of ‘antiSoviet propaganda’ and sentenced to 1 year in prison and 5 years in exile. Under Gorbachev, returned to Moscow from her exile in Altai, 1987.
Religion is bad because it imposes irrational rules of good and bad behaviour.
Strong communist party can create a new and better society with neither rich nor poor.
