The public and humanitarian activities of Srta. Cáceres have taken many forms. She is member of some twenty-five organizations of which the more important in Europe are the Société de l’Amérique Latine of Paris, the International Alliance, et cetera, of the same city, the Ibero-American Union of Madrid.
And in Perú the Atheneaum of Lima, Historical Institute, various Athletic Centers (Centros Deportivos), Regional Federation of Indian Labor, Federation of University Women, Feminine Patriotic Union, League against Illiteracy, League of Kindness and Culture (Bondad y Cultura), Red Cross of Callao, and various working-women"s organizations.
She is the founder in Lima of the Social Center for Women, the Society for the Protection of Works of Art and Historical Monuments, Popular Lectures, Peruvian Feminism, Syndics (Sindicatos) of Telephone Employees and Dressmakers. And in Paris, the Literary Union of Latin Countries.
Srta. Cáceres has participated in the activities of a large number of international gatherings including the Congress of the Milan Exposition (1906), the Feminist Congress of Paris (1909), the Literary Society (Société des Gens des Lettres) of Paris (1911), the International Labor Conference of Geneva (1924), Congresses of the Latin Press (Lyons, 1923.
Bucarest, 1927; Paris, 1927). International Congresses for the Right of Suffrage and Equal Citizenship of Paris (1927), Berlin and Nice (1932).
She has delivered many lectures in Perú and abroad, including those given in the Sorbonne of Paris (1908), the University of San Marcos and the Geographical Society of Lima (1911), the Athenaeum of Madrid (1912), and the National Institute of Panamá (1925). She has also been a leader of the women"s Catholic movement of Lima.
