Career

After the 2010 elections he was appointed one of the deputy speakers of the National Assembly of Hungary. As a result he was replaced by Béla Kovács in the European Parliament. He was elected Member of the European Parliament again in the 2014 European Parliament election, as a result he resigned from his national parliamentary mandate in June 2014.

Achievements

• His older brother is András Balczó, the Olympic champion.

Membership

He was a Member of the European Parliament with Jobbik - Movement for a Better Hungary from 2009 to 2010.
