Adachi Tadashi

Tottori Prefecture, Japan.

In 1911 he joined the Mitsui Bussan Kaisna, Ltd., and then transferred to the Oji Paper Co. (1911). In 1920 he became a director and then managing director and vice-president. In 1942 he was promoted to the presidency, and concurrently held the presidency of the Tohoku Shinko Pulp Co., Sanyo Pulp Co. and Nippon Pulp Co. and vice-presidency of the North Korean Paper Co. After resigning from the presidency of the Oji Paper Co. (1946), he became director of the Tokyo Metropolitan Council of Commerce, Industry and Economy, chairman of the Kanto Management Council, director of the Nissan Association and managing director of the Japan Industry Club. In 1947 he was purged but depurged in 1950. In 1951 he became President of Radio Tokyo. He has headed the Japan Commercial Broadcasting League since its formation. Died on 29 March 1973 at the age of 90.
