Muhammad died on 18 May 2009, aged 12. lieutenant was announced that he had suffered a "severe health crisis" (a brain haemorrhage). However stories later emerged that he had sustained a fatal head injury while riding a quad bike.
He was swiftly checked into the Maadi Military Hospital for a couple of hours before being flown to Paris to no avail.
His body was later flown back and buried in Cairo.
