Alexander Voroshilo was born on December 15, 1944.
Graduated from Nezhdanova’s ONMA in 1974.
In 1973, being in the 4th year, he was enrolled as a soloist at the Odessa Opera, where he sang Rotnyi part in "Eugene Onegin", Eletskiy in "Queen of spades" by P. I. Tchaikovsky, Escamillo and Morales in "Carmen" by G.Bizet, Sharpless in "Cio-Cio-San". In 1975, after the competition, was enrolled without any training in the troupe of the Bolshoi Theatre. According to some data, Alexander was the only one from 138 applicants, who got through the competition. He debuted at the Bolshoi Theatre at the Opera "Iolanta" of P. I. Tchaikovsky.
A. Voroshilo's repertoire includes leading lyric and dramatic baritone parties of classic and modern Russian and Western Opera. Among them - Eletskiy and Tomskiy in "the Queen of spades", Onegin in "Eugene Onegin" and Robert in "Iolanta", the Venetian guest in "Sadko" by N. Rimsky-Korsakov, Andrey Shchelkalov in "Boris Godunov" by M. Musorgskiy, di Posa in "Don Carlo”, Renato in "A Masked Ball" and Iago in "Otello" by Verdi, Silvio and Prologue in "the Players" by R. From 2003 Alexander Voroshilo conducts the class of solo singing in the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky.
