In 1950, at the age of 14, Alexander entered The naval school of the Navy (now Saint Petersburg Naval Institute). He graduated from Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy (1955), law department of the Leningrad State University (now Saint Petersburg State University) (1960).
Career
In 1963-1987 Alexander worked as a teacher, was an associate professor, professor, the head of the department of the civil and labor law of Voronezh State University. Since 1987 was a professor of the Leningrad (St. Petersburg) Financial and Economic University.
