When he was 11 he moved to his brother to Odessa where he occupied different posts in Opera Theatre (was a choir artist in 1931-1935). In 1936 graduated from Institute of Advanced Training for Young Singers in Sverdlovsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Career
He worked as a soloist in Institute of Advanced Training for Young Singers in Sverdlovsk Opera and Ballet Theatre (1936-1946).Later worked in theatres of many cities (Lviv, Kuibyshev, Kharkiv, Minsk, Kazan and others).
