Alexander Yurievich graduated from Lipetsk Metallurgical College (1972), the history department of Lipetsk State Pedagogical Institute (1983).
Alexander Yurievich was a researcher, head of the department of Lipetsk Regional Local Lore Museum (1978-1995). He is a founder of Museum of History of Metallurgy "Mir metalla" (1991) and organizer of archaeological excavations on the Upper Don.
He is a chief specialist of State Archive of Lipetsk Region (since 2000); at the same time researcher at Lipetsk Institute for the Development of Education (since 2005). He is a member of the Public Chamber of Lipetsk Region (since 2005).
Alexander authored "Hrestomatii po istorii Lipetskogo kraya" (Lipetsk, 2004). He is the author of a number of works on regional studies, including "Drevnee poselenie "Lipeckoe Ozero"" (Lipetsk, 2000; with с A.T. Sinjuk).
He is a founder and chairman of Lipetsk Society of Local Lore (since 1989), editor of his "Zapiski" (Lipetsk, 1995-2007; editions 1-6). He worked on "Lipetskaya entsiklopediya" (1999-2001; vol. 1-3). He guided conservation and restoration works of historical and cultural monuments, including Drevne-Uspenskaya Church (Lipetsk).
Alexander Yurievich is one of the authors of books on the history of temples of Lipetsk and Yelets eparchy (Lipetsk, 2006-2007). He supports creative connections with Voronezh Regional Local Lore community.
