In 1975 Alexei Mikhailovich Nakvasin graduated from the journalism department of the philological faculty of Voronezh State University. In 1985 he finished his studying at the Academy of Social Sciences under the Central Committee of the CPSU. For his interest and knowledge in history he became the Candidate of Historical Sciences in 1985.
Since 1969 Alexei Mikhailovich Nakvasin was the Committee Secretary of the All-Union Lenin Communist Youth Union of Voronezh City Vocational School No. 5. Since 1972 he worked as the Committee Secretary of Voronezh Integrated House-Building Factory. Since 1975 Alexei Mikhailovich Nakvasin was the head of the department of the Voronezh Regional Committee of the All-Union Lenin Communist Youth Union. Since 1977 he was the instructor of the Voronezh Regional Committee of the CPSU.
Since 1980 Alexei Mikhailovich Nakvasin worked as the instructor, the head of the department, then the secretary (since 1987) of Voronezh Regional Executive Committee. Since 1988 he was the chief editor of the newspaper "Commune". Since 1994 Alexei Mikhailovich Nakvasin became the deputy chairman of Voronezh Regional Duma. Since 1995 he was the chairman of Voronezh Regional State Broadcasting Company. Since 1999 he was the chairman of the federal state enterprise Voronezh State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
During 2001-2005 he worked as the chairman of Voronezh Regional Duma. Since 2004 he is the director of the Directorate for the Development of Infrastructure Projects, ZAO Russian Economy Group.
