Career

In 1865-1877 Nikolaev Alexey Ivanovich was Theology and Civil History Lecturer at the Voronezh Ecclesiastical Seminary. He also was engaged in the history of the Voronezh Ecclesiastical Seminary, the author of articles in Voronezhskiye Eparchialnye Vedomosti (Voronezh Diocesan lists): Historical information about the Voronezh Ecclesiastical Seminary from its foundation to reorganization in 1814 (1866-1868), Rectors of the Voronezh Ecclesiastical Seminary (1885), Inspectors of the Voronezh Ecclesiastical Seminary (1885).

He also was a compiler of the book "Lists of pupils who have completed a full course of seminary sciences in the Voronezh Ecclesiastical Seminary for the past century (1780-1879)"(1884). He prepared several reference and bibliographic publications: "Collection of rules and detailed programs for admission to all educational institutions" (1871); "Readings on Russian history. How the Russian state was founded" (1871); "A systematic parallel guide to all spiritual journals and diocesan lists from the 1st year of their publication to 1871 ..." (1871); "Historical sketch of the sacred coronation of Russian sovereigns" (1883).
