Allen A. Dutton earned an Master of Arts at Arizona State University in Tempe (1947). He also attended the Art Center School in Pasadena, California, in 1940.

Career

Since 1961 Allen A. Dutton has been chairperson of the Photography Department at Phoenix College, Arizona. He previously taught art and photography at Phoenix Union High School from 1950 to 1961, after having worked as an entomologist for Arizona Agronomy Chemicals (1946-1949).The artist specializes in surrealistic photomontages.
