Amos Aricha was born on September 5, 1933 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Aricha issued his first novel, Phoenix, in 1979. This tale, which Aricha wrote in collaboration with Eli Landau, concerns a Libyan plot to undermine an Israeli-Egyptian peace accord by assassinating Israel’s prime minister, Moshe Dayan.
Aricha followed Phoenix with The Hour of the Clown, in which covert Jewish operatives expose a Soviet plot to eliminate key American Jews working in Washington, D.C., on behalf of Israeli concerns.
Journey toward Death, Aricha’s next novel, concerns the questionable activities of David Biton, a deported Israeli gangster operating in Los Angeles.
Aricha is also the author of The Flying Camel, a 1987 novel (published in England as Spymaster) in which a troubled CIA operative agrees to the undertaking of one final mission before ending his ties with the organization.
Arisha is also a visual artist, whose several works have been sold at auction, including 'Flower vase' sold at Tiroche 'Part B: Israeli & International Art' in 2014.
