Moved to Dallas, Texas, 1907, to serve as attorney Texas Company, to Houston, 1910, as associate general attorney same company, and to New York, 1913, becoming general counsel, director, member Executive Committee and president Texas Company, 1920-1926, Chairman of the Board, 1926-1927 (resigned). President American Petroleum Institute, 1931-1932. Chairman Petroleum Code Authority, NRA, 1934.

Politics
