In 1962 Anatoliy Pryakhin graduated from the Faculty of History at Voronezh State University.
In 1961-1966 Anatoliy Dmitrievich was laboratory assistant at the Voronezh State University. Since 1967, lecturer, associate professor of the USSR history of the pre-Soviet period, head of the department of archeology and history of the Ancient world of the Voronezh State University (1976-2007). Since 1999, Anatoliy Dmitrievich has been the head of the laboratory at the Voronezh State University and the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the Historiography of Eurasian Archeology.
Author of many studies, including books: "Abashevskaya culture in the Don region" (Voronezh, 1971), "Settlements of the Abashev community" (Voronezh, 1976), "Archeology ... Heritage" (Voronezh, 1988), "Mosolovskiy village of metallurgists and casters of the Late Bronze Age" (Voronezh, 1993, 1996), "Archaeologists of the past century" (Voronezh, 1999) and others.
