Education

In 1932 Anatoly graduated from the Biological Faculty of the 2-nd Moscow State University.

Career

In 1935-1939, Anatoly was a Senior Research Fellow at the the 2-nd Moscow State University.

In 1940-1941, Head of the Department of General Biology of the Kursk State Medical University.

In 1941-1954, Head of the Department of Biology of the Kazakh National Medical University.

In 1954-1963, Head of the Department of Histology of the Voronezh State Medical University.

Since 1963, Head of the Laboratory of Radiation Neuroendocrinology of the Institute of Medical Radiology of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR.

Voitkevich showed the dependence of the histological structure of the thyroid gland on its physiological state; revealed cytological features of various zones of the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland; studied the features of regeneration of tissues and endocrine organs under the influence of various hormones and ionizing radiation.

The main works devoted to the histophysiology of the glands of internal secretion and the influence of hormonal principles on morphogenesis.
