Anatoly Timofeevich studied at the Moscow State University, where jointly with Rolan Antonovich Bykov, Iya Sergeyevna Savina, Alla Sergeyevna Demidova created a student theater. He graduated from the State Institute of Theatrical Art named after A.V. Lunacharsky (1966).
Anatoly Timofeevich worked as a director at the Moscow Theater named after A.S. Pushkin, the Oryol Drama Theater, the main director of the Russian Theater of the Kabardino-Balkar ASSR, the director of the Russian Drama Theater in Minsk, the main director of the Smolensk Drama Theater.
The performances of "The Power of Darkness" by Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy (diploma of the 1st degree at the All-Russian review in 1978 in honor of the 150th anniversary of Leo Tolstoy) and "Viriney" by Lydia Nikolaevna Seyfullina were a success. Since 1982 he was the director, in 1983-1987 the main director of the Voronezh Drama Theater. The production of the play by Voronezh writer Fyodor Sergeevich Volokhov "Axe and cross" (1984) to the 400th anniversary of the city of Voronezh was awarded a diploma at the all-Russian festival (1986). After 1987 he staged performances in Kursk, Belgorod, and Voronezh.
