In 1973, Ann received a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University in Bloomington. In 1975, she received a Master of education, a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Georgia, in Athens. She also received a Doctor of Education from the University of Louisville in 1996.
Ann Marlow Riedling began her academic career as a teacher at Monroe County Public Schools in 1973. In 1974, she received a position of an instructor in education media at the University of Georgia. She also was a media production coordinator at the University of Louisville and served as associate professor and departmental chair of the School of Library and Information Science at Spalding University, Louisville, Kentucky. She also was associate professor and director of online program at Saint Leo University, associate professor at Kentucky School for the Blind and Associate Professor at the University of South Florida
Nowadays Ann Riedling is a San José State University School of Information lecturer. She has been selected for a Fulbright Senior Specialists project in Bahrain at the University of Bahrain from November 1 - December 5, 2008, according to the United States Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.
