DeCoster, Anne Stringer was born on June 6, 1933 in St. Paul. Daughter of Philip and Anne (Driscoll) Stringer.


Bachelor of Arts in Painting and Drawing, Middlebury College, 1955; postgraduate, Institute Allende, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, 1974; Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing, University of Minnesota, 1984.


Instructor painting Art Center Minnesota, Minnetonka, 1984-1985. Visiting artist Macalester College, St. Paul, 1986. Lecturer St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota, 1987.

Workshop conductor in field.
