Arseniy Stepnovich graduated from faculty of Russian language and literature of Voronezh State Pedagogical Institute (now Voronezh State Pedagogical University) (1940), Central courses of retraining of teachers of logic and psychology (Moscow, 1947).
In 1937 Arseniy Stepnovich was a teacher of Tambov Aviation School. He was a teacher of logic and literature of the Voronezh Military School name after Suvorov (1946-1951). Part-time worked at the Voroenezh state pedagogical Institute (1949-1950). Arseniy Stepnovic read the course of logic at the historical and philological, and then at all other faculties of the Voronezh state University (1951 - February 1956). Since 1956 he was a teacher at the Moscow Military-Political Academy named after V. I. Lenin, where he later was the head of the Department of philosophy (until 1995).
