He graduated from the Philological Department of the Historical and Philological Faculty of the University of Peoples’ Friendship (Moscow, 1985).
He was the teacher (1985), assistant, senior lecturer (since 1987) of the Department of Literature of Voronezh State Pedagogical University. Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Literature of Voronezh State Pedagogical University (1993-2000). Since 2000, he was an associate professor of the Department of Russian literature of the XX century of Voronezh State University. At the same time, he was the pro-rector on development programs (since 2001), on scientific work (2003 - January 2007) of Voronezh Economic and Legal Institute.
