In 1948, Anna Mitrofanovna graduated from the Faculty of History of Voronezh State Pedagogical Institute (now Voronezh State Pedagogical University). In 1950, she finished graduate school of Moscow State University.
In 1940-1942, Anna Mitrofanovna held the position of Secretary of the District Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League (the city of Gryazi, Voronezh Oblast). In 1942-1945, she was the 2nd secretary of the Voronezh Regional Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League. Krachkovskaya was in the position of the Head of the Department of Cultural and Educational Work of the Voronezh Regional Executive Committee in 1945-1948. Anna Mitrofanovna also worked as a teacher and Associate Professor of Voronezh State Pedagogical Institute (now Voronezh State Pedagogical University) in 1950-1958 and in Voronezh State University in 1958-1980.
She was the author of many publications on the history of the regional party and Komsomol organizations, and publications concerning cultural development in rural areas.
Anna Mitrofanovna participated in the organization of the first post-war amateur art shows, as well as in the work on the restoration of cultural institutions, including the Voronezh Regional Museum of Regional Studies, the regional library, memorial house of I.S.Nikitin, Central Park of Culture and Rest named after L.M. Kaganovich (now - Central City Park).
