From 1909 also professor at various higher educational establishments in Peterburg. 1904-1917 edited various journals and compiled Yezhegodnik svedeniy о boleznyakh i povrezhdeniyakh kul’turnykh i dikorastushchikh poleznykli rasteniy (Almanac on Diseases and Injuries of Cultivated and Wild Useful Plants). Specialized in taxonomy and phylogenetics, viral and bacterial diseases of plants, phytotoxicology, fungicides, et cetera
