Benjamin Beit-Hallahmi was born on June 12, 1943, in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Benjamin Beit-Hallahmi finished Municipal high school in Tel Aviv. In 1966 he got a Bachelor of Arts at Hebrew University. In 1968 at Michigan State University he received a Master of Arts and in 1970 - a Doctor of Philosophy in clinical psychology.
After graduating, Benjamin Beit-Hallahmi worked as a psychologist in a counseling center for students at Michigan State University. Associate professor at the University of Haifa and senior lecturer at Hebrew University and Technion.
Visiting professor at Addis Ababa University, Vassar College, Columbia University, King's College London, New York University, University of Pennsylvania, Michigan State University, and Central Michigan University.
