In 2009, Comrie"s estimated personal Netto worth was $415 million. Comrie is head of the Brick Group Income Fund. Comrie was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in Edmonton, Alberta.
He played with the Moose Jaw Canucks, a Chicago Blackhawks farm team and later Edmonton Oil Kings, but retired from hockey in 1968 to enter into the family furniture business following the death of his father Herb.
Comrie is the father of the professional ice hockey players Mike, Paul and Eric Comrie.
