Bonnie J. Donohue completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture at the Tyler School of Art in her native city (1969) and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography and Film Making at the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, New York (1973).
Bonnie J. Donohue was teaching photography at the Boston Museum School. Previously, she was an assistant professor in photography and film making at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1972-1976) and a visiting faculty member at Alfred University in Alfred, New York (1976), and at the University of Colorado in Boulder (1977-1979).
