Education

Boris Nikolaevich Sadovsky graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the Voronezh State Pedagogical Institute (now Voronezh State Pedagogical University) (1960).

Career

Since 1963, Boris Nikolaevich worked as an assistant, a senior lecturer, an associate professor, a professor, a head (1991-2007) of the Department of Functional Analysis and Operator Equations of Voronezh State University. He is the author of over 80 scientific papers. Works: On one principle of a fixed point (Functional analysis and its applications, 1967, No. 1-2); Extremely compact and condensing operators (Uspekhi Matematicheskikh Nauk, 1972, Issue 1 (163)); Measures of noncompactness and condensing operators (Basel - Boston - Berlin, 1992 (together with P.P. Akhmerov and others); On locally explicit models of nonsmooth systems (Automation and Telemechanics, 2004, No. 10 (together with I.N. Pryadko)).

Achievements

• Boris Nikolaevich is one of the creators of the theory of measures of non-compactness and condensing operators as modern directions in non-linear functional analysis.
