In 1950 Boris Timofeevich graduated from the philological department of the historical and philological faculty of Voronezh State University.
From 1947 to 1951 Boris Timofeevich worked as an announcer of the Voronezh Regional Radio Committee. In 1954, he was a lecturer, senior lecturer, deputy dean of the historical and philological faculty of Voronezh State University. Boris Timofeevich was an associate professor, since 1960, was a senior researcher in 1969-1972, professor of the Department of Russian Literature of the Philological Faculty of Voronezh State University, dean of the Faculty in 1960-1962, 1973-1976.
