Inspired by true events In this book, Angels Knocking at the Back Door, are poems I have written encompassing my life as I have witnessed it. In the second section of the book, "Rockets," are poems I have written while I lived in Israel. I have met many people who say they don't like poetry because they don't understand it. You will have no problem with my poetry. You may even come to have a favorite poem. I hope it will be one of mine. I have been reading and writing poetry for a long time, and these are experiences that I want to share. I was six years old when my father introduced me to poetry. I would curl up next to him and he would read Longfellow, Whittier, Kipling and a host of other poets. Before long I had memorized the words and still remember them until this day. I in turn shared them with my children and grandchildren - a wonderful heritage.
