After having completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (1968), Catherine Jansen earned a Master of Fine Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia (1973).

Career

Since 1973 Catherine S. Jansen has been working at Bucks County Community College in Newton, Pennsylvania, where she is an assistant professor and the coordinator of the Photography Department. Previously she was an instructor at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (1971-1973). The artist experiments with three-dimensional photography, Kirlian photography on cloth and color Xerox. Her collections can been seen at Honolulu Academy of Art, Hawaii; Philadelphia Mus. of Art, Pa.
