Career

Actress Cathryn de Prume has appeared in several films including Deadtime Stories, Five Corners, written by John Patrick Shanley, with Jodie Foster and Tim Robbins, Ask Me Anything, and recently appearing role opposite Reese Witherspoon in Wild. But she may be best known to film buffs for her role in Random Shooting in L.A., which she co-wrote. Cathryn has played con artists, troubled mothers, and a handful of picaresque Russian characters where she's gotten to speak her second language. De Prume also starred in the television series such as Crime Story, Blossom, Evening Shade, played the role of "Macklyn Warlow," aka Ben Flynn's mother on the HBO original series True Blood, as well as sharing the screen with William H. Macy in Shameless, and starring for 29 episodes as "Donna Shipko," opposite Anna Gunn and Pamela Adlon, in the Fox sitcom Down the Shore (1992). De Prume was a guest star on television shows, including Northern Exposure, Coach, and That's Life.

Cathryn de Prume is a host of her one-woman show, Blended Salad, about her eccentric Brooklyn family, which was performed in theaters around Los Angeles. Cathryn has had the privilege of working with some of the best directors in the industry; Jean-Marc Vallée, Richard Benjamin, Tony Bill, Alan Parker, Sean Penn, Bill Bixby, and even David O. Russel on a commercial. She also produced a short movie Missing Mia (2004) and was a director and producer of Buona Fortuna (2009). Cathryn de Prume and her brother Ivan de Prume are the owners of de Prume Productions.
