He needed 10 years to graduate from college and when he was 28, he finally got his degree in marketing. After graduation, he found a job and started working 9-5 as most of the people do. His career went well, he worked for companies like Jacobs and Unilever and after few years, he became the director in the marketing department of Blendax. That job involved a lot of traveling around the world, which was a key factor for the birth of Red Bull. In 1984 Chaleo formed a partnership with Austrian businessman Dietrich Mateschitz, who tweaked the tonic’s formula for Western palates (including adding carbonation) and developed a marketing campaign that made Red Bull an international sensation among younger consumers. By 2011 Chaleo’s 49% stake in Red Bull GmbH, which included sponsorship of a Formula One race-car team, was worth an estimated $5 billion.

Quotes from others about the person
"I never heard words like 'difficult' or 'impossible' from my father. He dedicated his life to his work and never complained that he was tired. He really enjoyed his work and sometimes carried on until 1 or 2am. When he talked about his work, he was always very happy and active," said Chaleo's son Saravudh.
